Being familiar with the ice age and climate history of the Northern Alps, I am convinced as well that cooling could prevail in the coming decades already. Indeed we are at least heading towards another cool spell, as happened during the sixtees of the last century, perhaps even to another Little Ice Age. However, it may take thousand years or more before temperatures will finally drop down to speak of a real start of a new ice age, which certainly is about to come.
