    ) The speeches are eight years apart. ) Both contain specific ‘universal’ generalities. ) Do you think Melania plagiarized Michelle’s speech? How do we know that Michelle did not plagiarize someone’s speech? ) Are the likenesses just happenstance? ) Did they have the same speechwriter? ) Now that you’ve gotten to know the Obama’s, do you find Michelle’s speech believable? ) Now that you’ve gotten to know the Trump’s, do you find Melania’s speech believable? No, I would not generally conclude that political speeches are not to be taken seriously.
